Certificate Programs

The Broken Bay Institute (BBI) is committed to adult faith formation. The Certificate Courses are designed for people who wish to update their knowledge of the faith and to reflect on what it means to be Christian in the contemporary world. Two options are available to interested students.

Catholic Correspondence Courses (CCC) provide a framework for the study of our faith tradition. Each area offers a basic introductory unit, followed by units which explore the topic further. This material is available in distance learning mode only. These courses do not attract credit towards academic programs.

The BBI Certificate Programs known as Theology for Beginners ‘opens the door’ to academic learning. It consists of four units at introductory level. If successful, students can claim credit for these units towards a Diploma or Bachelor of Theology. Some Theology for Beginners courses are available in Intensive and online modes.
